Where we are in place and time


In this Unit we explored and created variety of art projects to reinforce the knowledge of Art, all grades with a fantastic range of projects, showing their skills in different art techniques like drawing, painting, craft techniques, clay, spray coloring etc.

Following are some examples of their work completed during this unit.


Grade 2

In this unit with grade 2 student learned about different landforms and the various characteristics of each landform.

They created 2D art and 3D art by using clay, working with clay builds strengths in arms, wrists and fingers.

Their clay art landform looks amazing!


























    • Grade 3

      In this unit grade 3 learned about ancient art and the importance of ancient symbols.

      They will analyze ancient art represented in cave paintings.

      They learned about Greek temples (Doric, Ionic, Corinthian) and Greek vase called Amphora.

      They also learned about Egyptian Art:

      Egyptian Pyramids 

      Hieroglyphs

      They learned the ancient system of writing of middle east called Cuneiforms

      Grade 4
      Grade 4 students had so much fun this unit, they expressed their talent in multi dimensions by drawing, painting, using negative and positive space in art to create effective imaginary, create balance, add depth and perspective.

      Grade 5

      Grade 5 students learned about Vintage(old) objects comparing with modern object.

      This unit students visualize different forms of design.

      Their design will incorporate all the Art elements and principles.

      They practiced I lot of drawing and pattern skills during this art activity.

      Grade 6

      With Grade 6 students during this unit, we made art from different countries including the history and importance of their cultures,

      The learned about African mask history, then they draw an African mask.

      They learned about Aboriginal Art (Australian Indigenous Art.

      They learned about Ming Dynasty Chinese Vase  

      They learned also about Ted Harrisson and his Canadian landscapes.
