All grades worked on different art projects throughout Term 1 this year. 

They came with a fantastic range of projects, showing their skills in different art techniques like drawing, painting, ink painting and crafts.

Following are some examples of their works completed for their first project this year..

Grade 7-Art.

This year students were influenced by movements in Art that included Expressionism, Surrealism, Cubism, Pop Art and Pointillism.

Grade 5- Art 

Starting the school year with self-portraits series, students have been developing their observational and creative powers using art. Pointillism was another skill to let the students make colored dots on black piece of paper.. 

Next stage:  They explored many ways to combine Art and Science together, combination of Art and Science can result in creation of incredible things.

Art and Science projects :

1. Raised salt painting .

2. Math art projects.

3. Positive/negative symmetry art

Grade 4 Art 

Grade 4 students focused on creation of art, 
- Identifying the elements of art ( line, shape, color, texture, pattern, space).
- Develop experimental art-related skills.
- Increase exposure to the study of Art history ( Leonardo da Vinci, Keith Haring, Jeff Koon, Laurel Burch, Alma Thomas.

Grade 3 Art

 Grade 3 this year used a variety of materials and media to create Art,.
They learned different skills and techniques to create art, working with variety of materials teach them about colors, shapes and textures and how things work and fit together, 
Crafts encourages students to play and experiment in a fun and relaxed environment.

Grade 2 Art

Second graders study line, shape, color and texture, 
a formal study of many aspects of art making.
Second graders have been developing their observational and creative powers using art.

First graders this year learned important art skills:

- Creativity. creativity is an obvious an extremely important skill  

- Observation.  Understanding various types of Art 

- Self -expression ,focus, discipline, collaboration .

Grade 6 Art 


For grade 6 students the art room is a space where students have freedom to express their ideas and thoughts and work creatively.
 As well, they  have been developing their observational and creativity by doing art.
 Art enhances fine motor skills, stimulates the imagination..
